Planning permission has been successfully secured in Norfolk for the demolition of a curtilage listed building and its replacement with a heritage designed building to accommodate rare breed cattle.  The proposal had to overcome a number of sensitive issues, most notably, heritage considerations due to nearby listed buildings and the site’s setting within historic parkland.  These were successfully addressed by achieving high quality design that paid full regard to the site’s heritage setting, whilst ensuring that the building performed well functionally for its intended purpose of housing livestock to modern welfare standards.
