About Me
James joined Sworders in 2020, having previously been a Partner in Smiths Gore. A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, James has provided advice for over 30 years on a wide range of property, including management and succession for rural estates and family businesses, strategic asset management of property portfolios, advice on heritage property and advising on change of use of rural and commercial property. A former Chairman of both the Devon Committee and the Institutional Landowners Group of the CLA, James currently sits on the Legal Parliamentary and Property Rights Committee of the Association as well as the government’s Tenancy Reform Industry Group (TRIG). James is a Director based in the Taunton office.
