RDPE – RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR ENGLAND

The Rural Development Programme for England presents an exciting opportunity to farmers, landowners and small businesses in rural areas in England for farm diversification schemes, especially whilst farming businesses are exposed to the current agricultural market.

Rural businesses can apply for grants of £20,000 to £175,000 for Business Development or Rural Tourism Infrastructure (a maximum grant of £750,000 is available for Food Processing) to create jobs, boost tourism and unlock growth in rural areas.

The minimum grant has been reduced from £35,000 to £20,000, therefore this new round of funding should appeal to smaller rural based projects.

The scheme is highly competitive and the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) delivers the grants.  They work closely with with Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP).  Applicants must check the local priorities in their area.  Click here for detailed information. https://sworders.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/RDPE-V6.pdf
