Applications open from 6 December 2022. The grants is available to livestock farmers in England, who are producers of slurry and farm either beef, dairy or pigs. It is available to those who want to improve or expand their slurry storage capacity to 6 months or want to fit an impermeable cover on their grant-funded stores. It is envisaged that this grant will allow farmers the opportunity, to make necessary upgrades beyond current regulations. Stage 2 – Full Application will be available after the 31 January 2023, once the Rural Payments Agency have identified the applications which have the highest environmental benefit, based on location and proximity to areas most in need of reducing pollution from agriculture.
